Guys guys, be nice.  I think it is a miss understanding.

Kazoom, please do me a favour and remove the female four letter word from your post.  You and Tater both are good people and are valued members.  Please have your differences with each other done in a more gentlemanly manner.

I am sure everything will work out but let's not make the dust swirl more than it already has.

Thanks,

Joe

Well...    wtf?

Anyhow, I can appreciate Tater's post here.
I'm always interested in what Pro Comp puts out on the market.
In my experience, (1 set of SBF heads) it was a total piece of crap.  Now I just enjoy reading other peoples' experience with any of Pro Comps parts.  So far I'd say it's not at all good for Pro Comp.

Pro Comp seems to bring the best out in everyone! Never seen a thread where they were mentioned that didn't turn into a shit storm.

Their issue is consistancy. Some products my be pretty good for a few batches, then they go to shit. Being cheap is the only thing keeping them in business, that and making the effort to put parts out there that no one wants to mess with. Like some of the Cleveland stuff.

My experience with anything Procomp has been pretty consistant.....if you want the bottom of the barrel.....there the guys.....

I did run a Procomp HEI style dist on my own car for a bit of a test.....I did have to spend about 3 hours fixing a bunch of little things before I would run it.....it did run approx 10k miles, and when I tore the engine down this time, the 2 piece shaft slot was broke......so it will go into the junk pile.

I have used 2 of there funnel web knock offs on some low key builds.....but again, I have spent no less then 2 hours cleaning things up due to the poor castings.....

I do use there wire looms, with a few mods, they work fine for $20.00....

I have seen 6 sets of there heads.....5 SBF sets and 1 SBC set.....they were all so pathetic OTB, that non of them were bolted to an engine. I know some guys rework them with success, but I just dont have the means to rebuild heads....let alone, brand new heads....

I took a look at one of there elec water pumps.....was going to use it for dyno time only......it was pathetic and was returned.

I had a hunch what Tater was going to see, when he started this thread.....but Hey!....you never know unless you take a look at things.....Thanks Tater...

I personally will not buy ANYTHING from pro-comp....The way they treated Terry Parker(Think Funnel web)  was enough for me to not wanna support them. I'll pay the extra(The right price to begin with).

When I spoke to Terry Parker, he is the one that gave me Jay's contact info at ProComp to get a manifold. According to Terry, the original screwing was done by some other folks.....not ProComp. It was a few years ago when I spoke with him, but he was really bent and pissed at a couple boys up in Battle Ground, WA.....I think they may have started the mess.

Bottom line, I think we all know the quality and issues with there products.
