I just installed my carb last nite and when I tried to adjust the float levels I noticed my fuel pressure was reading 9 psi on both of my gauges. I tried to adjust it and it won't adjust...I screwed all the way in and out and nothing. I took it apart and see nothing wrong with it,spring looks good, diaphram and checkball look good...what could be wrong with this? Anyone have this problem before?

I had a similar problem before. No matter what I did my pressure wouldnt drop before 9psi. Ended up being my return line was too small.

Hey Moco you might need a return line actually. The Holley Black pump aint no joke. But I had a issue where the fuel was blowing out the top of my carb.

I understand but the regulator I have is a non-return type...it worked all last year. that means I would have to run a different type of regulator...is this correct? thanks

No I use a cheap holley regulator but I use my fuel pump to return the fuel. You might have to upgrade!
