Motor is done dropping in this weekend but still up in the air on what headers are going to work. I have a set of Hedman Cleveland swap headers for Fox Body #85619 Has anyone tried or know if these will work with the 9.5 deck height of my boss block? Using Trick Flow's 225 Cleveland heads Team Z's 3/4" drop mounts Also running a TKO 600. I know I can have a set of custom headers done just trying to avoid the cost. Great site thanks to Doug for turning me on to it.

Thanks Greg

I know this isnt an exact answer to your question, but for what its worth, we just shoved this dart block, 225 Trick Flow Cleveland headed 427 into this Cobra. We used the standard Cleveland header for these cars and it fit the 9.5 deck without any major issues. I dont know how tight a fox body is, but these are limited for space, and it did not present a problem.

R Olds that is what I'm am thinking that the swap headers will work. What kind of power did you pull from the 427? Doug I'm good with the links Kooks is supposed to be working with Trick Flow for this specific swap, but we just don't have the time to wait for them to be developed. The demand is not high right now but once this article hits I'm sure it will go up.

Thanks Greg

I've used the 351C Hedman Fox swap headers in the past and I'd "guess" that they would work ok with a 9.5" deck block. They had plenty of room with the flat style collector/ floorpan. I've also used a D&D 351C Fox swap header and I'd "guess" that they wouldn't work because they were pretty tight at the collector/floorpan area. You could probably run a drop motor mount but with a Canton swap oil pan I used to have to shim the motormount with 2 washers for the oil pan to clear the steering rack......
Each combo was used with the same PAracing K-member.

Cool Tater glad to hear that those worked for you. I have the UPR K-member with 3/8" drop and also using Team Z 3/4" drop mounts so the floor pan won't be a issue. Also using canton swap pan looks like the hedmans I have will work might get real lucky. Now if it fits under the stock hood that would be perfect, but the Cleveland TFS R intake is tall so we will just have to see.

Thanks Greg

We did not dyno this engine. It was was started at another shop and I helped him finish it up.
We had originally planned to dyno it, but he ran low on cash.

Plus 1!   I had suspected that by looking at my headers in my Mustang.

Nice, any pics under the car? I have a set of heddman 2Vs on my stang and 9.5 deck but they do not fit like those. My heads exhaust port sit really high, even though i did consider geting motor mounts that sit lower but that would put the exhaust even closer to the ground. I also had to drill holes in the flange so it would mate up to my C302s.

Don't have any shots of collectors and already pulled the headers to be coated. When I get them back I will send you some shots. This motor is also a 9.5 deck 3/8" dropped K member with Team Z standard solid mounts.
