My opinion is that with a boosted application quench isn't really isn't a issue. That is also what I have heard from other people who work with boosted applications.

i want to know what happens when you put a flat top .172 down in the hole with boost.
SBF 351w 9.5 deck
3.5 stroke crank that dictates a 6.200+ rod
canfield 195 head 54cc chamber
4.100 x .047 gasket
93 octane and water injection for a safety net
intercooled EFI
69mm turbo
all the boost it will handle to make 800hp. turbo will be out of steam if it can make 800 at the crank.

I found a cheap wiseco 4032 flat top for a 383 SBC with a 1.425 C/H, @ .172 down i would have 8.7:1 CR... any ideas if it would be detonation prone like most people figure?

Doug has seen my car.....been a while, but I'm not sure this 5500 converter would like nitrous much. Anyway, it was worse than we thought. Block at rear on both sides was busted. tried to tig it, had small oil leak, so now block is possibly going to another welder that thinks he can fix it. I also have another aluminum block coming Saturday to use maybe. But in the meantime, we now have a iron block back between the fenders. It runs, but since I now have a moroso oil pan now, I am having some sealing issues I'm hoping to have resolved tonight. Its actually a 6.0 block bored with all of the 6.2 internals. Rumor is the iron block will make more power due to the block being more rigid and obtaining better ring seal. We shall see. Even tho it gained 93 lbs on the nose.

It got We had great air last Saturday, car went 6.04 off trailer. It was lifting the front between knee and waist high. Kept adjusting fronts to get the front down. It would spin a little, 1.34 60 and still went 6.02. So, I went back, had fronts full loose, tight comp and ext in the rear and staged. It was very bad from there on. Ive been wanting to put it on the bumper, and I did just that. Buddy said bumper was dragging by the time I went by the tree. I thought, well, this is my chance to drag the bumper (not knowing I already was), when it was high enough, I was sure it was good, I shifted to 2nd. It didn't come down. It kept going higher. went up and then gas started pouring on windshield from carb. I panicked and lifted. got oil pan, trans, caster/camber plates.... hope that's all. Its out now with new oil pan installed. trans being fixed today. New travel limiters to be installed. They said it was dang near straight up and down. LOL. set it down at half track.

The little 363 has been a good has been a best 10.04 @ 132 and 6.36 to the 1/8 at almost 108.  A little over a year has past and we pulled her out to give back to Bam.  He has some plans to put some AFR 220 heads and a nitrous plate on and put it in his old Blue foxbody.  We put my old 331 back in to finish the season.  I'm slowly collecting parts to build a 363 of my own.
